L’exquiste Douleur

Identity, much like the wind, is an invisible current that shapes everything in its path. We cannot see it, yet we feel its undeniable force moving through us. This is a queer-focused series about the exploration of self-discovery, rebirth, and the labyrinthine journey of unlearning shame. Form and elemental symbolism represent the rivers and valleys of emotional healing. These photographs represent reclaiming that narrative: letting the past stay there, lifting the veil of shame, and stepping into wholeness.

A Daughter’s Return

This series was inspired by the myth of sirens and how it relates to the transgender experience. Sirens were historically seen as beautifully tragic and ominous. The siren becomes a metaphor for how transgender identity is often looked at through a lens of fear and uncertainty. Water is a sanctuary in this series, a place of rebirth, fluid reclamation of body autonomy. Intertwined in the aquatic landscape, the nets symbolize the ongoing battles for trans recognition, along with the discordant path of self-discovery. I wanted this series to confront nudity and vulnerability. The bare body being an act of resistance and self-love amidst an environment of shame.

Room 237: A McQueen Tribute

This editorial navigates the thin veil between presence and memory. The model is draped in a delicate juxtaposition of vulnerability and strength. It is a study of ghosts who refuse to leave, reclaiming their narrative through sheer fabrics and steel boots, turning a site of historical trauma into a defiant sanctuary of inclusivity and self-discovery. This series was a direct homage to Alexander McQueen and Steven Klein’s 2014 spring/summer editorial and The Shining.
